FAQs

What’s the difference between R12 V2 and higher torque models like R16?

While both feature the same NexGen 4.0 force feedback algorithm, 21-bit encoder, and servo motor technology, the R12 V2 offers a more compact and accessible package with 12Nm torque—sufficient for most sim racing needs. The R16 V2 is best for those who demand even higher force output and peak realism under extreme driving conditions.

Is the R12 V2 suitable for both beginners and experienced sim racers?

Yes. Beginners can benefit from preloaded game-specific profiles and plug-and-play ease via the MOZA Pit House software, while advanced users enjoy 19-point force feedback customization, smart road feel equalizer, and dynamic FFB curves to tailor every detail of their driving experience.

What types of sim racing games is the R12 V2 compatible with?

The R12 V2 supports a wide range of racing titles on PC, including iRacing, Assetto Corsa (and Competizione), F1 series, Dirt Rally, Automobilista 2, Project CARS series, Euro/American Truck Simulator, and many more. Please refer to the full compatibility list for specifics.

Can I adjust force feedback and other settings during a race?

Yes. With the MOZA mobile app, you can fine-tune force feedback, pedal settings, and more on-the-fly—without leaving the game. It also supports one-click profile transfers across devices for a seamless setup experience.

Is the R12 V2 safe to use at high force levels?

Yes. The R12 V2 includes Hand-off Protection to detect when your hands leave the wheel, quickly stopping oscillations and centering the wheel to prevent injury. An advanced Mode 2 also ensures safety without interrupting drifting and high-dynamic maneuvers.

Moza R12 V2

This product offers a wide array of customisation way beyond any lower end base because the effects give a greater, deeper, and more accurate sensation through the wheel (I can attest to this going from a G923, then an R3). Despite the force being very strong, it can be lowered to the desired weaker level while maintaining other sensations high. Lastly, I cannot stress enough how good the Moza App is for tunning all the settings. The only con, ehm hello Moza, would be Xbox wheel button mapping with some games (please fix this close to the extent Logitech has on console). Getting back to what the R12 base is: incredible!! There are even some new holes drilled on the front of it to attach more things to it on the V2 version, and it also is compatible with with the SRP Lite pedals (and it should with most, of not all, Moza products). I am very pleased with the base and think that this may be enough for at least a decade of use.

I love my MOZA

Best wheel base i ve tried. Everyone has their taste as to why there are many car companies, food catagories and so on. Moza is my choice when it comes to sim gear. The r12 is powerful and a bit overkill if you are not careful, and that is not a bad thing either. I usually have the ffb settings at about ideally 60% and its the sweet spot. I adjust ingame ffb with button or key mapping. I love how easy it is to switch from xbox to pc with a few adjustments and compatible parts to expand my playlist, experience, and friends list. Huge upgrade from my two other wheels i previously owned. Its slightly bigger than the r3, but still small compared to logitechs jumbo bases or fanas rattling ones.
