MOZA Z-Axis Module

After a purchase of the AB-9 base and the MH16 grip I found that I needed a solution to allow me to lower the base below the height of my chair. I looked at a few other options and due to the loyalty points I generated with my prior order I decided to go with the Z-Axis Module for a few different reasons. The first was the price was about half of the helicopter extension I was looking considering. The next biggest reason is that it was the same brand as the grip and base. The next big reason is that it is metal vs printed plastic. An added bonus was the included set screw that allows you to lock the z-axis in case you are using dedicated rudder pedals, however, this has a secondary effect of being able to offset the grip to a more comfortable and ergonomic angle, and for flying helicopters this is a huge thing. All in all I would highly recommend Z-Axis Module to anyone that is looking for either a twist grip for rudder control or a moderate extension to fit your particular home cockpit set up.

Makes the MH16 stick too high, adds four inches. Also, the spring is too stiff. I cannot think why they did not include twist already in the base or flight stick.

I need to raise the base to fly aircraft other than helicopters and not use the axis module because it adds too much height. But I need the axis module for helicopters so re-installing it means lowering the base height again, which means disassembling my MT desk mount. With the AB9 base/MH16 totaling more than 12lbs, this is a lot of work.

I am looking for a better solution. If they could have made the axis module half as high it would have helped a lot.

It is very well made and attaches strongly.

Friend who I bought this for says it works very well, but puts the flightstick up too high for his setup, even with a table bracket that goes pretty low. He thought an interesting option would be for MOZA to offer a much longer extension so the FFB base could sit on the floor and the stick could go between his legs.

Solid build and smooth performance. The self-centering is snappy and precise, and the added extension really improved my grip comfort. Installation took less than 2 minutes. works perfectly with my MOZA setup.

I am very satisfied with it as it is fully compatible with ThtrustMaster Warthog stick and is very durable. I recommend it.

The AB9 base and all of MOZA accessories are very high quality and deliver a great product for the price over their competitors. However, when you have a question or concern they do not respond. You do get autogenerated response, but you never hear back from MOZA concerning your issue. I am not having an issue per se, but I had a question that I found the answer for online from other users. So I’m not having an issue with my AB9, but I never got a real response from MOZA. That’s concerning to me.
